Junior Investment Analyst — Fixed Income & Equity

We are looking for a Junior Investment Analyst to join Meta X, one of Armenia's leading investment companies, and provide core analytical and research support to the investment team.

This is an entry-level position in the investment team. Supporting the research behind our portfolios across a generalist mandate spanning fixed income and equity. Anchored in fixed income, this role assists in credit coverage across emerging and developed markets while building the capacity to support the research process end to end.

Support credit research across EM and DM, including fundamentals, relative value, and new issues.

Help build and maintain issuer models while reviewing documentation, covenants, and capital structure.

Build a foundational credit view from fundamentals and defend it under challenge. Participate in equity coverage as a generalist through company analysis, valuation, and idea generation.

Monitor holdings, ratings actions, earnings, and market developments to flag risks early. Write investment memos and present recommendations with a clear thesis and the case against it.

Drive the regular reporting cycle by putting together clear, insightful portfolio updates and performance breakdowns for leadership and stakeholders.

Assist the Lead Portfolio Manager and Senior Investment Analyst on portfolio monitoring, positioning, and data preparation.  

Support client meetings alongside the Lead Portfolio Manager, helping prepare materials to engage with current investors and pitch prospective partners to help grow the business.

Work hand-in-hand with internal teams—including Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Client Services.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or Computer Science.

Analytical Rigor: Strong analytical rigor and high attention to detail.

Experience: 0–2 years of experience or strong internship background in finance, data analysis, or corporate research.

Working knowledge of equity analysis and valuation concepts is a plus.

Judgement: ability to form independent views and demonstrate sound analytical reasoning.

Progress toward the CFA, exposure to frontier/Armenian markets, or prior buy-side/sell-side fixed income experience is a strong advantage.

Technical toolkit

MS Office: advanced Excel is essential; Word and PowerPoint to a professional standard.

Working proficiency in Python for data work, analysis, and automation is a strong plus.

Familiarity with market data tools such as Bloomberg, Cbonds, or similar research screening platforms is advantageous.

Language Skills: Native-level Armenian, along with full professional fluency in English and Russian (reading and writing).
