Mr D - Retail Account Manager

Mr D , a division of the Takealot Group, is looking for a highly talented Retail Account Manager to join our teams in Cape Town.

This position reports to the Sales Regional Lead for Mr D.

Your responsibilities will include:

Identify and prioritise suitable partners for the Mr D platform

Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline

Own the partner sign-up process

Operate as the lead point of contact for shops partners

Strengthen relationships with partners and monitor their business and store performance

Ensure timeous and effective solutions and feedback to partners

Ensure strict partner visit standards are maintained

Source promotions from partners that align with business objectives

Deliver against hub and regional advertising goals

Educate partners on available advertising tools and ensure uptake across a portfolio of partners

Attributes required:

Excellent communication skills

A highly customer-focused mindset and consultative sales approach

Excellent negotiation and closing skills

Exhibit the ability to self motivate

Extremely competitive and relentless

Ability to work and keep up in a fast paced environment

Accurate

Must have own transport and drivers license

Qualifications:

Experience in marketplace, ecommerce SAAS or retail sales

Minimum 2 year Prior sales experience

Proficiency in using CRM tools (Not essential)

Prior experience in the hospitality industry (Not essential)

Tertiary qualification (Not essential)
