The Star City Community Arena is looking for a Seasonal Full Time Arena Facility Operator for the 2026-27 season.
DESCRIPTION
Arena Facility Operator will be responsible for
- Operating the ice re-surfacer (Zamboni), resurfacing ice and maintaining ice quality
- Monitoring the ice plant and completing routine and daily inspection
- Cleaning dressing rooms, washrooms, lobby, bleachers and other facility areas;
- Emptying garbage and recycling and stocking washroom supplies
- Following established cleaning schedules and checklists
- Providing additional cleaning and on-site attendance during tournaments, busy periods and scheduled rentals
- Snow and ice removal from entrances, walkways and emergency exits
- Minor building and equipment maintenance and repairs
- Opening and closing the facility
- Assisting with setup and takedown for rentals, tournaments and special events
- Monitoring the facility for safety hazard maintenance concerns and equipment issues;
- Other rink related duties as required.
