Job summary

We are seeking an experienced senior planning engineer to establish and manage planning activities for building construction projects. The role will focus on developing the project baseline programme from the initial stage and monitoring project progress against approved schedules.

Key responsibilities

Develop a detailed baseline programme for building construction projects.

Establish project planning and scheduling activities from project commencement.

Prepare detailed work schedules, timelines, and resource requirements.

Monitor project progress against the approved baseline programme.

Identify delays, critical activities, and potential schedule risks.

Coordinate with project teams to collect progress updates and ensure timely reporting.

Prepare progress reports and schedule updates for management.

Support recovery planning and corrective actions where required.

Required skills & qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.

7+ years of strong experience as a planning engineer in building construction projects.

UAE experience in construction is mandatory.

Proven hands-on experience in preparing and developing baseline programmes from project start-up.

Strong knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.

Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project – preferred.
