*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Technician/Optician Assistant for a full-time position within our dynamic optical practice. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of exceptional eye care services and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. The successful candidate will assist with optical measurements, lens fitting, and customer service, contributing to our commitment to clarity and vision excellence. *Responsibilities*
- Assist opticians in measuring, fitting, and adjusting eyewear to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction
- Prepare lenses and frames in the laboratory, utilizing laboratory equipment and techniques with precision
- In house lab work: inserting lab-finished lenses into patients' own frames, checking completed jobs for accuracy, frame adjustments and repairs
- Pre-testing patients for our optometrists
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining lens options, frame selections, and care instructions clearly
- Maintain accurate patient records, including prescriptions, measurements, and purchase details
- Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products and accessories aligned with customer needs
- Stay informed about the latest optical products, technologies, and industry trends to assist customers effectively
- Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and enhance patient satisfaction
- Delivering great service n a friendly, fast paced environment
*Experience*
- Prior experience in optical settings or laboratory work is highly desirable
- Filipino/Tagalog is an asset, since we serve many Filipino-speaking clients
- Experience with retail sales or sales-driven environments supports effective customer engagement
- Previous exposure to retail management or supervisory roles can contribute to team leadership capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving industry standards

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
