SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS ANALYST (LAUNCH)
The SpaceX Supply Chain Operations team is a critical player supporting the Launch organization and its partners. We are responsible for strategic process and system development to enable the Supply Chain function across the entire cross-functional Launch business. As SpaceX becomes the overall market leader, the Supply Chain Operations Team provides the business with the support and high levels of customer service needed to meet company goals.
We are looking for a talented individual to join the team as a Supply Chain Systems Analyst. This role is responsible for using analytics to provide business-critical insights, ensuring cross-functional alignment of goals and execution between core launch teams and essential support teams such as supply chain, finance, training, EHS, and facilities. You will lead analysis to develop solutions and tools to address challenges, increase efficiency, and enable us to meet our targets. This role involves providing both day-to-day tactical support and longer-term strategic planning expertise to support our ambitious growth targets and daily execution with excellence and precision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify, develop, and implement process improvements across the supply chain to ensure best practices are effectively rolled out across the organization
Establish deep understanding of supply chain operations across the launch ecosystem (teams, environment, process, hardware, systems, tools, limitations) and ability to effectively articulate, quantify, and realize change opportunities
Conduct in-depth analyses of complex datasets using SQL and other data tools to identify trends, diagnose issues, inform supply chain strategy and targets, and develop data-driven solutions
Create reports, automated tools, and standardized metrics for operational measurement and improvement, using SQL queries and software such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Smartsheet
Develop and maintain Power BI reporting tools and assist teams in building their own dashboards, including data integrity, tool maintenance, and reporting quality
Develop automation that mitigates business risk or enables efficiencies within the Launch Supply Chain team
Partner with software development teams to define requirements, test solutions, and implement Supply Chain system improvements
Support standardizing data analysis (assumptions, methodology, tools) and assist supply chain teams to facilitate Supply Chain planning, efficiency roadmaps, and demand forecasting
Integrate with all levels of the business to understand current processes and identify systematic gaps for the department
Train users and leaders on system developments, assist in troubleshooting, and capture best practices and organizational knowledge
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or mathematics
2+ years of experience in an operations analyst, business analysis, product management, applications/software development, or ERP systems support role
1+ years of experience using SQL and/or Python in business analysis, product management, applications/software development, or ERP systems support
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environment
Familiarity with lean principles, six sigma, Kaizen, process analysis, and design
Experience building data visualization dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
Ability to rapidly change priorities in a high-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with a wide range of people with a positive attitude
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to create options, cost/benefit scenarios, and formulate concise recommendations with peers and leadership
Strong communicator, curiosity-driven, and open to receiving and providing feedback
Advanced Excel proficiencies
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across disciplines and with multiple levels of management
Technical knowledge and skills in coding and computer applications (e.g., MS Office, VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, Jira, Power BI, CAD, etc.)
Experience with inventory, demand planning, and purchasing
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral
Must be able to travel - up to 20% work week travel may be required to other sites
Position may involve long hours and weekend work as needed
This position is based in Cape Canaveral, FL, and requires being on-site
