Job detail

We are looking to employ a teacher of humanities to join our highly effective Humanities Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of motivated and committed teachers who place the students at the heart of learning.

There is the possibility for Head of Department for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will:

Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning.

Have experience in teaching history at GCSE.

Have experience in teaching history at A Level or a willingness to do so.

Be willing to develop the programme to support the teaching of history.

Be able to offer geography at KS3 or offer another subject.

Have a proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.

Have very strong pastoral skills and experience in supporting students.

Be able to use data to support student learning and progress.

Hold a recognised degree with a recognised teaching qualification suitable for teaching this course.

Be invested in self-improvement through engagement with the broad spectrum of CPD options available at South View School.
