*Duties*

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and organizing supplies for various procedures
• Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring safety protocols are followed using CAD (computer-aided design) tools when applicable
• Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and answer questions about procedures
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and handling administrative tasks related to the dental reception area
• Assist with pediatrics or orthodontics cases as needed, demonstrating flexibility and specialized knowledge in these areas

*Skills*

• Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Dentrix and Epic for scheduling, record keeping, and billing
• Experience assisting with orthodontic treatments or pediatrics is highly desirable
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures for clear communication within the team
• Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques including sterilization, radiography (X-ray) procedures, and patient care protocols
• Familiarity with CAD tools used in digital impressions or orthodontic planning is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
