Event Part-Timer
About the company
The Singapore Mint is looking for friendly and reliable Event Part-Timers to support our pop-up events and promotional activities.
Your tasks
You will assist customers, support product sales, replenish merchandise and help ensure the event booth is well organized and presentable throughout the event.
Customer Service & Event Support
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer basic customer enquiries and provide information about products and promotions.
- Assist customers with product selection and purchases.
- Support event sales and promotional activities as required.
- Maintain a positive and professional representation of The Singapore Mint.
Stock & Merchandise
- Replenish products promptly to ensure adequate stock is available for customers.
- Arrange and maintain product displays according to event requirements.
- Assist with unpacking, sorting and organising merchandise.
- Monitor stock availability and inform the event supervisor when replenishment is required.
- Assist with stock counting and reconciliation before, during or after events where required.
- Handle products carefully and follow established stock-handling and security requirements.
Event Operations
- Maintain a clean, neat and organised event booth.
- Assist with event setup and teardown where required.
- Support packing and movement of event materials and merchandise.
- Follow instructions from the event supervisor and comply with workplace safety and operational procedures.
- Perform other event-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Customer service, retail, event or sales experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced event environment.
- Comfortable with standing for extended periods and assisting with reasonable stock-handling duties.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work on an ad hoc basis, including weekends or public holidays when events are scheduled.
You would be well suited for this role if you are approachable, dependable, service-oriented and hands-on, and enjoy interacting with customers while keeping merchandise organized and well stocked.
