Flux Core Welder - Contract Position

We are currently looking for an experienced Flux Core Welder to join a well-known and respected engineering company based in Poole. This is a contract position starting Monday 2nd November.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Flux Core (FCAW) welding on steel components to a high standard.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications.
• Inspect and assess completed welds to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with required standards.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship while meeting production and project deadlines.
• Follow all relevant health & safety procedures and company quality standards.
• Work effectively as part of a team within a busy engineering environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Time-served Welder/Fabricator with proven Flux Core welding experience.
• Strong experience welding steel using the Flux Core process.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of welding procedures, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full rights to work in the UK.
• Able to travel to Poole daily for the duration of the contract.
