Accounts Payable Clerk

Central London | Temporary | £22 per hour

The successful candidate will be confident managing day-to-day purchase ledger activities, with the ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate contribution.

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk will include:

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Matching, batching and coding invoices to purchase orders.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs.
• Handling supplier queries and maintaining positive working relationships.
• Monitoring the accounts payable inbox and responding to enquiries.
• Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance team.

The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will have:

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or purchase ledger role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
