ROLE: Field Marketing & Sales Officer 

 About Us: Sej Ventures SMC Ltd sells high-quality plastic rattan strips used for outdoor furniture making. See the attached picture for the materials.

Your Role:  

1. Starting sales conversations with potential clients in the field.
2. Asking questions to engage clients and keep the discussion going.
3. Being attentive to customers' requirements to encourage repeat sales.
4. Collecting and documenting customer information, payment methods,  transactions, and reactions to products
5. Managing traffic on incoming phone calls and WhatsApp chats to meet client expectations.
6. Ensure customer complaints are promptly received and resolved in a timely and  professional manner
7. Promote and support ongoing marketing launches and promotions.
8. Maintain professional manners to build customer trust and confidence.
9. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity to both internal and external customers.
10. Respond to customer queries or refer them to the necessary responsible channels for assistance where necessary.
11. Provide customers with excellent service while processing their orders
12. Provide design and product advice to customers according to their needs
13. Proactively identify referral opportunities by uncovering customer needs and promoting Come Again products.
14. Achieve personal referral goals and actively participate in sales promotion activities and take part in weekly sales meetings.
15. Run a market survey of rattan furniture makers/workshops/buyers in Kampala  (Katwe, Ndeeba, Bwaise, Kireka, Kanyanya, Nateete, Nsambya, Buloba, etc).
16. Identify, visit, and sell rattan to furniture workshops and retailers.
17. Achieve a target of 120 kg per day.
18. Report daily sales, customer feedback, competitor pricing, and demand.
19. Bring new clients for Sej Ventures.

Pay Structure:  

1. Retainer: UGX 200,000 per month (paid at month-end).
2. Commission: UGX 500 per kilogram sold (paid weekly).
3. Potential earning: If you sell 120kgs/day x 24 days = 2,880kgs/month = UGX  1,440,000 commission + 300,000 = UGX 1,740,000 total per month.
4. Transport facilitation and lunch shall be provided.

Requirements:  

1. Has some sales experience (especially construction materials/furniture/interior  designing/decor is a plus)
2. Motorbike rider's permit.
3. Knows furniture workshops in Kampala and other major cities in Uganda.
4. Minimum Senior 4; Certificate/Diploma is a plus
