Consultant Podiatrist

Requirements

Bachelor’s or doctoral degree in podiatric medicine (DPM) or equivalent recognised qualification

Recognised specialist qualification/board certification:

American board certification in podiatric medicine / podiatric surgery

Australian board / AHPRA-recognised podiatry qualification

South African board-recognised podiatry qualification

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification clinical experience preferred

Expertise in:

Diabetic foot assessment and wound management

Foot and ankle biomechanics

Sports-related foot injuries

Orthotic prescription and gait analysis

Nail and skin disorders of the foot

Foot and ankle rehabilitation

Minor podiatric procedures and surgical management (preferred)

Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Excellent communication and patient-care skills
