Role Description The Drug Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala. This position is responsible for promoting and detailing medical and diagnostic products to healthcare facilities, laboratories, and clinics, focusing on Sysmex and Becton Dickinson lines. Day-to-day tasks include visiting customers, presenting product benefits, answering clinical and technical questions, and following up on orders and deliveries. The role involves maintaining accurate records of client interactions, preparing sales reports, and participating in product training sessions. The Drug Representative also collaborates with internal teams to coordinate stock availability, marketing activities, and customer support, while consistently meeting sales and territory coverage targets.

Qualifications

Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage healthcare professionals and decision-makers. Sales, negotiation, and customer relationship management abilities, preferably within the medical or pharmaceutical sector. Basic knowledge of medical, laboratory, or pharmaceutical products, with the ability to learn and explain technical information clearly. Organizational, time-management, and reporting skills to manage territory visits, documentation, and follow-ups. Proficiency with common office software and digital tools for managing client data, preparing presentations, and reporting. Diploma or degree in Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field is highly beneficial. Previous experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales is an advantage, but motivated candidates with relevant education will be considered. Ability to travel within Kampala and surrounding areas, and to work independently while adhering to ethical and regulatory standards.
