*Position:* Part-time Bar Steward

*Location:* 305 Queen St, Dunnville, ON N1A 1J1

*Schedule:* Evening and weekend shifts

*About the role:* The Royal Canadian Legion of Dunnville, Branch 142 is seeking a friendly, mature and responsible part-time bar steward to join our team. We are a community hub that welcomes members and guests, and we are looking for someone to help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and uphold Legion policies and provincial liquor licensing laws.

*Responsibilities:*

• Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests in a friendly, responsible and efficient manner.
• Preparing and serving limited menu items in our air fryers.
• Handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
• Ensuring the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
• Monitoring patrons to ensure responsible serving practices are followed.
• Adhering to all Legion policies and procedures, including handling incidents and safety protocols.
• Assisting with opening and closing procedures, including restocking fridges and maintaining inventory.
• Working collaboratively with other staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.
• Other duties as assigned

*Qualifications:*

• Must be Smart Serve certified
• Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handler certification and WHIMIS certification
• Previous experience as a bartender or bar steward is an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule for evening and weekend shifts.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods.
• Be able to bend and lift to 30 lbs.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Licence/Certification:

• Smart Serve (required)
• Food Handler Certification (preferred)
• First Aid Certification (preferred)
