Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components, machines, equipment, and systems.

Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.

Use CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo to create and modify designs.

Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and stress/thermal analysis where required.

Develop prototypes and conduct testing to verify product performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.

Work with manufacturing, electrical, production, quality, and other engineering teams.

Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, and safety requirements.

Support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical equipment.

Select appropriate materials, components, tools, and manufacturing processes.

Work with suppliers and contractors on technical requirements and equipment specifications.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product or equipment performance.

Prepare reports, technical documentation, and project progress updates.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering principles.

Experience with CAD and engineering design software.

Understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and relevant industry standards.

Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Relevant industry experience is an advantage.
