Data Scientist – Analytics
You will lead data science and analytics work across analytical data models, machine learning, forecasting, experimentation, and reporting that support business and product decisions. The role covers building and maintaining analytical data models, data marts, and pipelines, delivering dashboards and analysis for management, and defining business and product performance metrics. You will work closely with product, engineering, commercial, and operations teams to turn business questions into analytical work, contribute to the analytics roadmap, and support junior analytical contributors. You will also maintain standards for code quality, reproducibility, and documentation, while ensuring data processing complies with GDPR through data minimisation and privacy by design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain analytical data models, data marts, and analytical data pipelines
- Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models, including segmentation, forecasting, and propensity models
- Design, run, and interpret controlled experiments (A/B testing) to support product and pricing decisions
- Define and monitor business and product performance metrics, and deliver reporting and self-service dashboards for management
- Collaborate with product, engineering, commercial, and operations teams to translate business questions into analytical work and define requirements for customer and product data domains
- Contribute to the analytics roadmap, support junior analytical contributors, and maintain standards for code quality, reproducibility, documentation, and GDPR-compliant data processing
Requirements
- Minimum three years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative role
- Advanced command of Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PySpark) and SQL (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or equivalent)
- Experience building and deploying machine learning models in a production business context, including forecasting and customer segmentation
- Experience designing and running experimentation programmes (A/B testing) and interpreting results for business decisions
- Experience with modern data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, cloud storage) and BI tooling (Power BI with DAX, Tableau, or equivalent), and experience presenting analysis and reporting to management
- Full professional proficiency in English
Compensation: €3,750 – €5K /month Monthly gross
