Pro-Active Parts Sales Professional
Job Function
Drives incremental parts sales through pro-active communication and disciplined customer prospecting leveraging different communication channels (phone and mobile communication, internet, electronic mails, chats, messengers etc.). Role considers full time focus on parts sales or a combination of parts selling with other responsibilities, so proposed duties may vary based on dealer organisational structure.
Essential Duties
- Delivers on parts sales targets as well as customer acquisition KPIs.
- Searches and classifies potential customers and their needs and requirements in products, parts, and services; creates detailed Customers’ Profiles in a dealer business system or CRM.
- Establishes initial contacts with customers via phone or other communication channels; recovers connection with inactive customers.
- Promptly informs customers about dealer parts news and offerings, new products arrivals, special parts promotions, incentives, or changes in commercial terms.
- Promotes and sells maintenance and wear parts, such as filters, lubricants, batteries, belts, field kits, accessories, or other items.
- Arranges repeated customer purchases if CSR personal visit to the customer is commercially purposeless (example, low priority customers located far away)
- Conducts customer market research to support dealer sales and marketing activities.
- Coordinates prompt resolution of customers’ issues or connects them with appropriate departments as a part of call-center responsibility (hotline)
- Consults customers on parts specifications, options available for maintenance or repair needs; upsells dealer parts and services offerings and solutions.
- Supports invoicing/billing of customers’ orders, other administrative tasks and reporting if applicable.
Key Requirements
- Pro-active sales mindset and self-motivation to generate sales activities and disciplined customer prospecting.
- More than 2-year experience in retail sales/telemarketing or service role (if position resides in Service department)
- Efficient use of techniques, principles and psychology of salesmanship and customer motivation to drive sales.
- Ability to establish and maintain customer contact, understand customer needs during the conversation.
- Ability to build rapport and influence customers over the phone or online.
- Active listening, competently expressing thoughts, asking questions and handling objections/difficult conversations.
- Ability to use necessary communication technologies, Microsoft Office user.
- Basic knowledge of parts categories and applications as well as technical background for the roles in Service department
