Our client Shropshire council is looking for a Social work team manager to join their UASC and Pathways team. Driving Licence Required: TM's may need to visit families with the SW as required and chair meetings in person Working/ Hybrid Arrangements: Office based one day per week Face to face team meetings on a monthly basis Face to face managers meetings once per month Quarterly directors assurance face to face There may be additional times that the team manager needs to travel for case purposes such as chairing meetings in person, attending court etc. Job responsibilites To manage the UASC and Pathways Social Work Team, responsible for UASC and looked after children 16 to 18 years. Supervise a team of 7 social workers, meeting the requirement for all children to receive supervision on a 4 weekly basis. To chair multi-agency meetings in relation to permanence planning and risk management, providing comprehensive management oversight to progress young people's plans. To quality assure key documents and assessments in a timely manner as part of care planning regulations and to meet the needs of the service. To provide performance oversight for the team, attending a weekly performance meeting to share current data and agree a plan to remedy any outstanding tasks. To act as a duty manager for the CLA and UASC Service, covering annual leave and staff sickness.
