At REGENT, we’re on a mission to revolutionize regional transportation between coastal cities. We're not just building vehicles, we're creating a new category of transportation: the Seaglider. These groundbreaking wing-in-ground-effect craft travel just above the water’s surface, combining the speed of an airplane with the low operating costs of a boat. Capable of 180 miles at 180 mph on today's battery tech (and up to 400 miles with next-gen batteries), Seagliders will unlock fast, affordable, and sustainable coastal transit for passengers and cargo - connecting cities, islands, and communities like never before.

Backed by leading investors and powered by a team of passionate, forward-thinking engineers, builders, and operators, we’re now scaling from a breakthrough prototype to full production - and building the team to make it happen.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Every certified vehicle needs a maintenance program as much as it needs a design: a plan for keeping it safe and serviceable across its operating life, built on reliability data and proven methodology. As REGENT's Senior Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineer, you'll build that program for Viceroy from the ground up including reliability predictions, Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), and a scheduled maintenance program developed using Maintenance Steering Group-3 (MSG-3)/Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodology. You will also act as the connective link between Systems Engineering, Certification, Quality, and Manufacturing.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role. You'll partner with systems engineers on safety analyses, with certification on means-of-compliance work, and with quality and manufacturing on producibility, inspectability, and closing the loop on failure data.

If you’re energized by working at the intersection of cutting-edge innovation, real-world impact, and hands-on engineering, you’ll be in the right place - and we’d be thrilled to have you on the team!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build the RAM program. Develop reliability predictions, FMECA, and the analysis foundation Viceroy's maintenance program will be built on.
  • Develop the maintenance program. Apply MSG-3 or RCM methodology to build Viceroy's scheduled maintenance program and its supporting documentation.
  • Partner with Systems Engineering and Certification. Align RAM work products with safety analyses and means-of-compliance submissions.
  • Liaise across teams. Serve as the connective link between Systems Engineering/Certification and Quality/Manufacturing, translating reliability and maintainability requirements into producible, inspectable designs, and feeding production and field failure data back into the certification basis.
  • Drive root cause and corrective action. Establish a Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)-style process and lead failure investigations to closure.
  • Improve how we work. Stand up the tools, processes, and documentation that let RAM work scale as REGENT's production ramps.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Demonstrated experience in reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) engineering for safety-critical systems in a regulated environment such as aerospace, maritime, medical, nuclear, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Hands-on experience developing scheduled maintenance programs, applying methodologies such as Maintenance Steering Group-3 (MSG-3) or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) to establish maintenance requirements and strategies.
  • Strong experience with reliability engineering methods and analyses, including reliability prediction, Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Weibull analysis.
  • Experience with failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action systems (FRACAS), including using failure data to identify trends, investigate root causes, and drive improvements in system reliability.
  • Familiarity with system safety and certification frameworks, including ARP4761 and/or ARP4754A, and an understanding of how reliability and maintainability engineering supports system safety assessments and certification activities.
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines and functions, collaborating with Engineering, Certification, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to translate reliability and maintainability requirements into practical design and operational decisions.
  • Flying, sailing, or boating experience is a plus.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
