Join Opportunity Sheffield, Sheffield City Council’s Employment & Skills Service, at a pivotal time. With the recent success in securing Economic Inactivity Trailblazer and LGF funding, we are expanding our team. We are looking for a temporary Employment Support Worker to make a significant impact on the lives of residents in Sheffield by supporting them to secure and sustain meaningful employment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver professional, impartial support and guidance to participants accessing Opportunity Sheffield services.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality provision.
• Identify and connect participants to opportunities that support their progression pathways.
• Act as a positive advocate for the service, promoting programmes and opportunities effectively.
• Develop a clear understanding of programme requirements to support delivery against targets.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of employment support projects.
• Effectively plan and organise your own workload to meet priorities.
• Identify and escalate risks and opportunities to programme managers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in employment support, skills, or related services.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach.
• The ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities.
• A commitment to supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
