Continuous Improvement Manager

£60,000 + Bonus (OTE £69,000) Sheffield

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager .

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead operational excellence initiatives across a complex manufacturing environment, driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the site's Continuous Improvement strategy.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, and waste reduction activities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost.
  • Analyse KPIs and operational data to drive performance improvements.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities including Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, PDCA, and DMAIC.
  • Coach and develop teams in Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Support automation, capital investment, and business improvement projects.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

About You

  • Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Lean Manufacturing role.
  • Strong understanding of Lean tools and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrable success delivering measurable operational improvements.
  • Experience leading improvement projects within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt highly desirable.
