We are seeking an experienced Careers Advisor to join a Further Education College in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified careers professional to support students in making informed decisions about their education, training and career pathways.
As a Careers Advisor, you will provide impartial careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) to learners from a wide range of backgrounds. You'll play a vital role in helping students identify progression opportunities, develop career plans and achieve positive outcomes.
This is an immediate start opportunity for a confident and knowledgeable advisor who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-to-one careers guidance sessions to learners
- Support students with progression into higher education, apprenticeships and employment
- Develop individual career action plans
- Deliver careers workshops and group guidance sessions
- Provide up-to-date labour market information and career resources
- Liaise with curriculum teams, employers, universities and training providers
- Support the college's CEIAG and Gatsby Benchmark objectives
What We're Looking For
- A recognised Careers Guidance/IAG qualification (Level 4 or above desirable)
- Significant experience delivering careers advice and guidance
- Experience working within a college, school, university or training provider environment
- Strong knowledge of progression routes, apprenticeships, higher education and employment pathways
