Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Medical Dispatch Rider responsible for the safe and timely transportation of laboratory specimens, medications, medical supplies, and healthcare-related documents. Candidates with prior experience in phlebotomy, specimen collection, or laboratory operations will have a distinct advantage, as the role may involve supporting sample collection and ensuring proper specimen handling procedures when required.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent riding skills, a strong understanding of healthcare logistics, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of medical materials during transit.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport laboratory specimens, medications, medical equipment, and healthcare documents between healthcare facilities, corporate clients, and patients.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of biological specimens in accordance with established protocols.

• Maintain specimen integrity and comply with infection prevention and control standards during transit.
• Support specimen collection activities where qualified and authorized to do so.

• Verify and document all pickups and deliveries accurately.
• Ensure timely completion of dispatch assignments and maintain delivery logs.

• Carry out routine motorcycle inspections and promptly report maintenance issues.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and organizational policies.

• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with patients, clients, and healthcare personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Diploma, OND, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a dispatch rider is required.

• Experience in phlebotomy, specimen collection, laboratory services, or other healthcare-related roles is highly desirable.
• Valid motorcycle rider's permit and demonstrated riding experience.

• Good knowledge of Lagos road networks and navigation tools.
• Ability to handle medical specimens and healthcare materials with care and professionalism.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency assignments when required.

• Physically fit and capable of handling field-based responsibilities.

Preferred Attributes

• Prior experience in a healthcare, laboratory, diagnostic, or hospital environment.
• Basic understanding of specimen collection, handling, and transportation procedures.
