The opportunity

Queen Elizabeth’s School, Dubai Sports City is looking for an inspiring and forward-thinking STEAM and Innovation Teacher to join our high-performing academic team.

This is a unique opportunity to lead transformative, hands-on learning that bridges Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through real-world, interdisciplinary projects. We are seeking an educator with a passion for creativity, design, and future-focused thinking. You will guide students as they explore robotics, 3D printing, coding, and digital design, helping them build the problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial mindset needed for success in a fast-changing world.

The role

Job title: STEAM Teacher

Reporting to: Deputy Head Prep School (Academics) & Deputy Head Senior School (Academics)

Teaching & learning

Design and deliver outstanding STEAM lessons across the school, blending theory with practical, hands-on learning experiences.

Integrate robotics, coding, 3D designs, electronics, sustainability, and digital media into projects that encourage innovation and real-world application.

Facilitate enquiry-led, project-based learning that connects concepts across Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience through engaging, student-centred instruction.

Curriculum innovation & development

Develop and refine a progressive STEAM curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum for England and international best practices.

Lead cross-curricular initiatives that connect STEAM with subjects such as English, Humanities, and Arabic.

Champion the school’s innovation agenda, supporting strategic goals for digital transformation and future-ready education.

Technology integration

Leverage educational technologies (e.g., microcontrollers, AI platforms, AR/VR, 3D printing, design software) to enrich learning.

Support colleagues with the integration of technology into teaching practice.

Maintain innovation lab resources, ensuring safe and efficient use of tools and materials.

Student engagement & enrichment

Guide students through STEAM fairs, hackathons, robotics competitions, coding clubs, sustainability initiatives, and other enrichment opportunities.

Identify and nurture students with particular interest or talent in innovation, design, or technology.

Create a culture of exploration and entrepreneurship, supporting student-led problem-solving initiatives.

Collaboration & professional development

Work closely with subject leaders and teachers to co-plan interdisciplinary projects.

Provide workshops and training for staff in STEAM practices and digital pedagogy.

Stay abreast of emerging educational technologies and contribute to continuous school improvement.

Compliance & safeguarding

Ensure all activities comply with KHDA standards, MOE guidelines, and school safeguarding policies.

Promote a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.

The person

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Engineering, Design Technology, Computer Science, or a related TEAM field.

Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent).

Certifications or training in coding, robotics, design software, or innovation education.

At least 3 years of successful teaching experience in STEAM or a related subject area.

Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary projects or innovation initiatives.

Familiarity with Maker Spaces, innovation labs, or EdTech tools (preferred).

Personal qualities

Passion for innovation, creativity, and 21st-century skills development.

Strong digital literacy and the ability to integrate emerging technologies.
