TIG Welder & Fabrication Technician

TIG Metal Fabrication Specialist Location: Hanover, PA Shift: First Shift | Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-3:00 PM (Occasional Saturdays and overtime as needed) Job Type: Full-Time Starting Pay: From $24.00/hour(Higher starting pay available based on experience.) Position Summary We are hiring an experienced TIG Metal Fabrication Specialist to fabricate, fit, and weld aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal components. This role focuses on producing handrails and miscellaneous metal products while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and workplace safety in a production environment.

Responsibilities Fabricate, fit, and weld aluminum, stainless steel, and miscellaneous metal components according to fabrication drawings and specifications.

Perform high-quality TIG welding to produce clean, structurally sound welds.

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication.

Lay out, measure, cut, align, and assemble materials before welding.

Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including saws, notchers, grinders, and hand tools .

Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure proper fit-up and alignment.

Move materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead lifting equipment as needed.

Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with shop safety procedures.

Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience performing TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel in a fabrication environment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform accurate layout work using tape measures and hand tools.

Working knowledge of shop math, including fractions and basic geometry.

Ability to troubleshoot welding, fit-up, and layout issues with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with fabrication equipment and metalworking tools.

Ability to work efficiently under production deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
