CNC Machine Operator

Location: York, PA Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift: 2nd Shift Rate: Starting at $22.00/hour, plus a $3.00/hour night differential. Higher pay may be available based on experience.

Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines.

Review fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine production requirements.

Load and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.

Monitor equipment operation and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.

Check dimensions and tolerances using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools.

Make basic programming edits or machine adjustments for different material sizes and thicknesses.

Perform routine CNC maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.

Maintain a clean and safe work area while following OSHA and shop safety procedures.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

2+ years of CNC machine operation experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.

Ability to read and understand structural steel shop drawings.

Proficiency with precision measurement tools.

Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
