Luxembourg Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Banking and Capital Markets Specialism Banking & Finance Management Level Senior Associate Job ID: 737320WD

Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

In tax reporting strategy at PwC, you will assist clients in developing tax reporting strategies and maintaining compliance with tax regulations. In this field, you will analyse financial data, interpret tax laws, and provide guidance on tax reporting requirements, aiming to optimise tax positions and minimise risks for businesses.

PwC Luxembourg is hiring a Senior Data Analyst (m/f/d). What if it was you?

We are the largest professional services firm in Luxembourg, providing audit, tax and advisory services to a wide variety of clients. To make it happen, we count on the expertise of over 3,600 people from more than 90 different countries, who strive every day to reach excellence and team up to solve important problems through innovative solutions. We value diverse and singular career paths, embrace everyone's unique self and encourage our People to fuel their potential in a work environment that is inclusive, stimulating, and motivating.

Our Operational Tax department is growing and we are looking for a data-driven professional who wants to make a real impact and eager to work in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Your mission

As a Senior Data Analyst within our Operational tax team, you will sit at the heart of two dynamic departments and play a key role in turning data and business challenges into concrete, scalable solutions. Concretely, you will: Drive transformation end-to-end — from initial analysis and solution design through to implementation, training, and communication. You will be involved at every stage of automation and digitalisation projects, ensuring solutions are not only technically sound but also adopted and understood by end-users.

Translate business needs into data solutions by working closely with stakeholders across Operational Tax and Fund Administration. You will take the time to understand their processes, map data flows, identify pain points, and translate their requirements into clear functional and technical specifications that bridge the gap between business and IT.

Analyse, cleanse and model complex datasets to uncover trends, interpret patterns, and support decision-making. From orchestrating data collection across multiple sources to building dashboards and ongoing reports, you will ensure that the right information reaches the right people in a format they can act on.

Visualise and communicate findings with clarity and impact — presenting results to stakeholders, discussing action plans, and making sure your analysis leads to concrete next steps rather than sitting in a slide deck.

Leverage AI and modern data technologies to identify automation opportunities, challenge existing processes, and implement proof of concepts that test new ideas and push the boundaries of what our teams can achieve. You will actively look for new business opportunities and bring your own initiatives to the table.

Let's talk about you

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, IT, or Business Administration with an IT focus;
  • Bring at least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in the financial services industry;
  • Are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or QlikView;
  • Have working knowledge of SQL, XML and data loading processes — and are comfortable navigating complex data environments;
  • Have a genuine interest in AI technologies and how they can be applied to real business problems;
  • Communicate with clarity — you can turn a complex analysis into a compelling story for a non-technical audience;
  • Are agile, curious, and proactive — ITIL and/or Agile experience is a plus;
  • Are fluent in English and French — any additional language is a plus.
