About the company
Our client is a well-established international distributor is looking for a QA Assistant to help the QA team make sure products, documentation and processes meet the required quality standards. The work is varied: product inspections, label creation, document control, coordinating external rework, and translating foreign-language product information into clear, accurate English.
Your tasks
- Help with quality inspections and checks of products, materials and packaging
- Create, print and check product labels so that all information is accurate and compliant
- Translate foreign-language product information into English, and check translated text for accuracy and consistency
- Arrange and coordinate external rework with approved suppliers and service providers
- Prepare and issue rework instructions, specifications and supporting documents
- Track rework progress so that deadlines and quality standards are met, and inspect products when they come back
- Keep accurate QA records, including traceability information and the cost and outcome of each rework
- Support investigations into quality issues and help put corrective actions in place
- Deal with quality queries from internal teams, suppliers and customers
- Help with audits and compliance activities, and keep up good housekeeping and health and safety standards
Requirements
- You have excellent attention to detail and take pride in accuracy
- You communicate well in writing and in person, and are confident dealing with suppliers and external providers
- You're competent in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- You're well organised, keep good records, and can prioritise several tasks at once
Desirable
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or administration
- Experience with label printing software or barcode systems
- Knowledge of quality management systems and documentation processes
- Experience coordinating supplier rework or corrective actions
- Quality, administration or language qualifications

Location: Basildon, Essex Contract: Temp with the possibility to go permanent Driver: Must have a valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle Salary: £28,000 to £32000 p.a Start: ASAP
