Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation environment alongside pediatricians, neurologists, orthopedic specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals, supported by advanced rehabilitation facilities and modern therapeutic infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Assess and manage children with developmental disorders, neurological conditions, congenital disabilities, musculoskeletal conditions, and functional impairments.
Develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans focused on improving mobility, independence, quality of life, and long-term functional outcomes.
Manage pediatric rehabilitation conditions including cerebral palsy, developmental delays, neuromuscular disorders, spinal conditions, acquired brain injuries, and physical disabilities.
Perform functional assessments and coordinate therapies including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, assistive technology, and mobility support.
Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, orthopedic teams, neurology, psychology, and allied healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
Provide counselling and guidance to families regarding rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, home care strategies, and long-term support.
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
Requirements

American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) with Pediatric Rehabilitation Training
UK CCT / MRCP with Rehabilitation Medicine Training
European Board / National Specialist Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Royal College Certification (Canada)
Australian FAHMS / FAFRM
Arab Board
MD / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognized specialist qualification
