Barista
We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and customer-oriented Barista to join our team at Karmafree Surf & Shop in Uluwatu. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, healthy food & beverage products, and retail lifestyle culture. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while delivering high-quality beverages, handling transactions, and providing excellent customer service. This role is suited for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, surf-inspired retail environment, thrives in team settings, and is eager to grow within a dynamic hospitality and retail business.
Requirements :
- Previous experience as a barista or in a retail/hospitality environment is preferred
- Strong passion for coffee, healthy lifestyle products, and customer service
- Energetic, positive attitude, and customer-focused personality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multitasking effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Flexible and reliable, able to work in shifts including weekends and holidays
- Willing to be placed and work in Uluwatu, Bali
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages consistently according to company standards
- Provide excellent customer service and create a warm, friendly customer experience
- Handle cashier duties, including processing payments accurately (cash & cashless transactions)
- Operate POS system and ensure correct daily transaction recording
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the coffee bar and store area
- Assist in daily café and retail operations to ensure smooth workflow
- Support inventory control, stock handling, and product display
- Assist in upselling retail products, food & beverages, and promotions
- Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat visits
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient store operations
- Follow company SOPs and contribute to continuous operational improvement
