Purchasing Supervisor

Key responsibilities

• Create Purchase Orders (PO) and follow up on approval processes
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors to ensure the right items are delivered on time, in good condition, and according to specifications
• Coordinate with relevant unit teams to ensure smooth receiving and inspection of purchased items
• Source and evaluate alternative suppliers/vendors; negotiate and analyze quotations based on specifications, lead time, Terms of Payment (TOP), and pricing
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain good relationships with suppliers/vendors
• Coordinate purchasing activities for project-based procurement, including material availability and delivery timelines
• Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers regarding imported materials and support the purchasing process when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field; Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related fields are preferred
• At least 3–5 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably with experience in project purchasing
• Experience in industrial materials, manufacturing, steel/metal, industrial material imports, fiber optics, or related industries is preferred
• Good understanding of the purchasing process, including supplier sourcing, quotation analysis, negotiation, PO processing, delivery follow-up, and supplier evaluation
• Knowledge of import purchasing and import processes is an advantage
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, especially for communication with overseas suppliers
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain good supplier relationships
• Honest, responsible, and trustworthy in handling purchasing activities and supplier relationships
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external parties
