Business Architect

We are seeking a superb Business Architect to shape, design and define the business change required to deliver an ambitious growth strategy. This is an enterprise-level role establishing a structured approach to shaping strategic initiatives before they enter delivery - ensuring investment decisions are grounded in clearly defined problems, opportunities, outcomes and value.

You will lead the development of future-state business architectures, target operating models, capability maps and transformation blueprints, working in close partnership with Enterprise Architecture so that business and technology change are designed as one. You will also own the definition and tracking of transformation benefits from shaping through to post-implementation review.

Outputs include opportunity and strategic option assessments, capability maps, target operating models, customer journey designs, transformation roadmaps and blueprints, benefits frameworks and executive decision papers.

Must have the following:

• Significant experience in Business Architecture, Strategic Transformation or Enterprise Design roles
• Demonstrable experience designing future-state operating models, business capability maps and transformation roadmaps
• Proven experience shaping and defining large-scale business transformation ahead of mobilisation
• Strong business case, value proposition and benefits realisation skills
• Experience working in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and technology functions
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive facilitation - able to challenge constructively and influence without authority
• Strong analytical and systems-thinking capability with the ability to make complex concepts simple
• Experience within multi-channel, customer-facing or consumer businesses is highly advantageous, as is knowledge of capability-based planning and portfolio prioritisation.

This is a strategic role focused on value creation, not activity completion. We are seeking someone who brings commercial awareness, customer-centric thinking and complete ownership of outcomes, and who simplifies complexity to enable faster, better decisions.

Permanent role. Hybrid working with a Yorkshire base.
