Design Manager (m/f/d) Data Center Construction
Your Tasks
PORR is expanding its data center activities and is seeking a Design Manager to coordinate design delivery on a large data center construction project. The role covers design programme, RFIs, design reviews, consultant coordination, subcontractor design, buildability, procurement support, and construction interface management.
Management of the design programme and design deliverables
Coordination of consultants, subcontractor design, internal teams, and client comments
Tracking of RFIs, design changes, technical queries, and design decisions
Leadership of design coordination meetings and technical workshops
Alignment of design information with procurement, construction, inspection, and commissioning requirements
Management of the design risk register and escalation of design issues affecting cost, programme, or quality
Support of buildability, maintainability, and value engineering reviews
Coordination of design interfaces between CSA, MEP, security, BMS, fire systems, telecoms, and commissioning
Your Profile
Degree in architecture, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or another relevant design discipline
Minimum 7 years' experience in design coordination or design management
Experience in data center, mission-critical, industrial, or MEP-heavy projects preferred
Good understanding of CSA and MEP coordination, design deliverables, RFIs, and technical reviews
Experience managing consultants and subcontractor design teams
Understanding of construction sequence, procurement requirements, and commissioning constraints
Experience with BIM coordination and CDE workflows desirable
Fluency in English; German or Polish language skills advantageous
