LOGISTICS OPERATION
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Customer Communication: Receive customers' inquiries, request freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, or trucking companies based on customer requirement, provide freight quotes and logistics solutions, and negotiate contracts with carriers.
Booking Acceptance: Accept formal bookings or contracts from customers and review the terms and conditions of the booking or contract.
Space Booking & Contracting: Book cargo space or sign contracts with shipping lines or airlines, arrange the booking process, and coordinate cargo pickup and delivery with trucking companies.
Process & Milestone Monitoring: Monitor the actual physical flow of cargo to ensure smooth and safe shipping.
Status Tracking & Updates: Track the real-time transportation status of the cargo and proactively report key milestones to customers.
Exception & Incident Handling: Inform customers immediately in the event of unexpected situations - such as collaborate with relevant departments by providing solutions.
Documentation Preparation & Verification: Responsible for preparing, verifying, and issuing various shipping documents, and assisting with any required paperwork.
Expense Entry & Settlement: Accurately verify all accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) generated by the shipment, input them into the system, generate billings (Invoice/Debit Note), and coordinate invoicing and payment settlement with both the finance department and customers.
Customer Relationship Maintenance: Collect customer feedback to improve service satisfaction, to assist the sales team in maintaining long-term customer relationships.
Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in the related field is required.
- Candidates must be proficient in Both English and Mandarin.
- Proficiency in MS Applications.
- Good communication & coordination skills.
- Able to work independently.
