Role Description The Cook role at PKP Logistics is a full-time, on-site position based in Accra. The Cook prepares daily meals for staff, following established menus and recipes while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and portion control. Responsibilities include meal planning support, ingredient preparation, cooking and serving food, and ensuring proper storage of supplies. The Cook maintains a clean, organized kitchen, adheres to food safety and hygiene regulations, and monitors inventory to assist with ordering. The role also involves coordinating with team members to support meal schedules, accommodating dietary needs where possible, and contributing to a positive, respectful work environment. Qualifications

Professional cooking experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen, with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices, including safe handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients. Ability to plan and execute menus, manage portions, and work efficiently during peak meal times while maintaining quality. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and reliability in following recipes and procedures. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate respectfully with colleagues and respond to feedback. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work safely with kitchen equipment. Prior experience in catering, hospitality, or logistics-related canteens is an advantage; formal culinary training or certification is a plus. Willingness to adhere to company policies and schedules, including potential early-morning or late-evening shifts as needed.
