Our primary specialty is the transportation of flatbed freight, including building materials, lumber, and seasonal products.
*Job Overview:*
We are seeking a reliable and skilled AZ Truck Driver to transport flatbed freight across Ontario, with potential for runs into Western Canada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work independently.
*Duties:*
- Operate commercial truck to transport assigned freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist in loading and unloading assigned freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
*Qualifications:*
- 3 years? experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of flatbed transportation
- Must possess and maintain an AZ Driver?s License with a clean driver's abstract
- Knowledge of flatbed operation is considered an asset
- Experience with load securement (strapping, chaining, and tarping)
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand the customer?s needs
- Proficiency in keeping accurate documentation such as Bills of Lading, Logbooks and Trip Records
- Understanding of HOS regulations and daily log requirements
