Peace Country Rentals & Sales is currently seeking an experienced *Small Engine Mechanic* to join our Service Department.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing *Honda small engines* and similar gasoline-powered engines commonly found in the rental equipment industry. This position is ideal for a mechanically skilled individual who is comfortable working on a wide variety of equipment and enjoys troubleshooting and keeping equipment running reliably.

What You?ll Be Working On

Our rental fleet includes a variety of small-engine-powered equipment, such as:

• Generators
• Pumps
• Compaction equipment
• Concrete saws
• Pressure washers
• Heaters
• Light construction equipment
• Other Honda-powered and small-engine rental equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues with small engines and rental equipment.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, tune-ups, and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot Honda gasoline engines, fuel systems, ignition systems, carburetors, starters, and related components.
• Inspect rental equipment and identify required repairs before returning equipment to service.
• Complete oil changes, filter replacements, spark plug replacements, carburetor cleaning, and other routine service work.
• Repair or replace worn and damaged components.
• Test equipment following repairs to ensure it is operating safely and correctly.
• Maintain accurate work orders and repair documentation.
• Keep tools, parts, and the work area organized.
• Work with the Service and Parts departments to identify and order required parts.
• Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.

What We?re Looking For

*Previous small-engine mechanical experience is strongly preferred.*

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience servicing and repairing *Honda small engines*.
• Experience working with small engines in construction, rental, landscaping, agricultural, powersports, or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of carbureted gasoline engines and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repairs.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to completing repairs properly.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of a mechanical position.
• A valid driver?s licence.

Small Engine Technician certification or other mechanical training is considered an asset; however, *practical experience and mechanical ability are highly valued.*
