Expand your impact as our new Compliance Executive . You will play a key role in reinforcing our compliance structures and internal SOPs while collaborating with dynamic teams across multiple global locations.
Responsibilities:
Know Your Customer (KYC) & Customer Due Diligence (CDD)
- Onboarding Checks : Review and verify corporate documentation or individual identities (via SingPass or identity documents) for new merchants and users signing up for the payment service.
- Screening : Run names through politically exposed persons (PEP) databases, sanctions list, and adverse media watchlist using screening software.
- Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) : Gather additional verification, such as source of wealth or business legitimacy, for higher risk clients.
- Periodic Review : Conduct periodic CDD screening on the entire customer base and sample check CDD screening on new customers.
Transaction Monitoring & Alert Clearance
- Alert Management : Review daily transactional alerts generated by transaction monitoring system.
- Transaction Pattern Analysis : Conduct preliminary analysis of unusual or irregular transactions and draft internal escalations for further assessment.
- Record Keeping : Keep a register / higher risk client list flagged for close monitoring.
Compliance Support & Administration
- Audit Assurance : Keep meticulous tracking sheets and records of all approved and rejected merchants to help the team prepare for internal or annual compliance audits. Follow up on Audit Action Plan and other management instructions to complete compliance tasks in a timely manner.
- Regulatory Monitoring : Research basic compliance matters, track amendments to MAS notices (e.g. Notice PSN01 on AML/CFT), and keep internal knowledge repository updated.
- Management Reports : Generate MIS reports for executive committee and board-committee meetings.
Requirements:
- Diploma or higher in Business Administration, Management or other relevant disciplines
- 2+ years’ work experience in financial industry or a Fintech
- Experience in risk-based approach, AML/KYC and transaction monitoring is beneficial.
- Knowledge in the Payment Services Act 2019 and the related guidelines and notices is a plus.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to think objectively when analyzing issues.
- Meticulous with an eye for details and quality mindset
- Excellent verbal and writing skills in English with strong communications skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Powerpoint)
- Ability to take ownership, work independently yet still be team-oriented.
