Accountant

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and general accounts.

Record and process daily financial transactions promptly and accurately.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Generate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Prepare and file tax returns while ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.

Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly.

Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.

Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

Support budget preparation, financial planning, and forecasting activities.

Assist management by providing accurate financial analysis and reports for decision-making.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' relevant accounting experience.

Minimum of an OND in accountancy, business administration, economics, or any related discipline.

Professional accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA, or ATS) is an added advantage.

Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.

Accuracy of financial records and reports.

Timely preparation and submission of financial reports.

Compliance with tax and statutory obligations.

Timely completion of bank reconciliations.

Reduction in financial errors and audit findings.

Effective management of accounts receivable and payable.

Remuneration: NGN  300,000 Monthly
