Location: Greater Manchester Salary: DOE Contract: Full-Time, Permanent NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with an ambitious and values-led financial planning business in Greater Manchester who are looking to appoint an Experienced Financial Adviser to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Adviser who is passionate about delivering high-quality, holistic financial planning and building meaningful, long-term relationships with clients. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping clients make confident decisions about their wealth and future, while contributing positively to the firm's culture, reputation and continued growth. The Role As a Financial Adviser, you will provide holistic, independent financial advice tailored to each client's individual circumstances, objectives and priorities. You will take ownership of the client relationship from fact find through to recommendation and ongoing review, ensuring advice is technically robust, compliant and genuinely focused on what matters most to the client. Key Responsibilities Delivering holistic, independent financial advice across areas including investments, pensions, protection, tax planning and later-life planning Conducting comprehensive client fact finds, establishing objectives and completing appropriate risk profiling Preparing and presenting clear, suitable and well-documented financial recommendations Building and maintaining long-term client relationships through regular reviews and proactive engagement Ensuring all advice is aligned with client circumstances, objectives and best interests Maintaining accurate, complete and timely client records Working closely with Compliance on file reviews, regulatory queries and ongoing requirements Working collaboratively with Paraplanners, Administrators and fellow Advisers to deliver excellent client outcomes Identifying opportunities to improve processes, client experience and service delivery Building positive relationships with professional introducers and external partners where appropriate Supporting the growth and reputation of the business through excellent client service and professional conduct Regulatory & Compliance You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of regulatory and professional conduct, including: Working in accordance with FCA rules, principles and guidance Demonstrating a strong understanding of Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly Adhering to SM&CR conduct requirements Following the firm's advice process, service standards and internal policies Taking personal responsibility for competence, ethical behaviour and the quality of advice delivered Maintaining accurate audit trails and client documentation Completing ongoing CPD and participating fully in the firm's Training & Competence framework Technology & Client Experience Technology plays an important role in delivering an efficient and modern financial planning service. You will be expected to embrace the firm's core technology and Wealth Portal, using systems effectively to support: Client onboarding Fact finding Document management Suitability reports Ongoing client servicing Clear and timely client communication Accurate record keeping and audit trails You will also be encouraged to engage with new technology, system developments and training to continually improve efficiency and client experience. About You We are looking for an experienced Financial Adviser who combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine client-first approach. You will have: Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or equivalent Current FCA-authorised or certified status, or be eligible Proven experience delivering compliant, holistic financial advice Strong understanding of FCA regulation and Consumer Duty Excellent communication and relationship-building skills High standards of professionalism and integrity Strong personal accountability and ownership Excellent attention to detail A commitment to continuous learning and professional development The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team Desirable Experience It would be advantageous if you have: Chartered Financial Planner status or are working towards Chartered Experience working within a values-led or financial planning-focused business Experience with cashflow modelling and long-term financial planning tools Experience working with professional introducers A strong track record of building and developing long-term client relationships This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Adviser who wants to join a forward-thinking financial planning business where technical expertise, client relationships and personal values are genuinely valued.
