Sales Assistant

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers and assist them in selecting and purchasing products. Provide customers with accurate information about available products, prices, and promotions. Receive and process orders from WhatsApp and other approved online channels. Confirm product availability, quantities, prices, payments and delivery details. Pick, weigh and pack customer orders accurately and neatly. Prepare online orders promptly for delivery or customer collection. Coordinate with dispatch riders and ensure that the correct orders are handed over. Process cash, POS and bank-transfer payments and issue receipts where required. Ensure that customer payments are made only through authorised company payment channels. Accurately record daily sales and payments. Arrange products neatly on shelves, in freezers and in display areas. Monitor stock levels and report products that are low, damaged or approaching expiry. Assist with receiving, counting and arranging new stock. Participate in periodic physical stock counts. Keep the outlet, shelves, counters, storage areas and freezers clean and organised. Respond politely and promptly to customer enquiries and complaints. Promote available products and recommend suitable alternatives to customers. Carry out other reasonable duties required for the smooth operation of the outlet.

Requirements:

Minimum qualification of an OND 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
