Role

To develop and produce engaging visual and digital content for Nee Soon Town Council. The specialist should be able to work with key stakeholders to generate stories, develop creative ideas and turn everyday community activities, ground engagements and initiatives into content that can connect with the residentsand the larger community.

The successfulcandidate should be a hands-on practitioner who can independentlyconceptualise, shoot, edit and deliver content across digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Visual Storytelling & Content Creation
  • Develop and produce video,photography and other visual content for social media and other digital platforms.
  • Conceptualise, shoot and edit short-form videos and content series.
  • Identify interesting people, moments and stories from community activities, ground engagements and Town Council projects.
  • Develop creative concepts, storyboards and visual approaches for campaigns.
  • Adapt content for different platforms, audiences and formats.
  • Work independently from conceptto final output, including filming, editing and basic post-production.
  1. On-site Production
  • Provide hands-on coverage ofevents, engagements and community activities.
  • Operate cameras, mobile devices, audio and other production equipment confidently.
  • Capture strong visuals, interviews and supporting footage with minimal direction.
  • Be nimble and responsive to last-minute opportunities, changing requirements and fast turnaround requests.
  • Work collaboratively withcolleagues on the ground while being able to take ownership of assigned coverage independently.
  1. Social & Digital Content
  • Work closely with media team members to turn stories and ideas into visual content.
  • Monitor content performance anduse basic analytics to identify what works and improve future content.
  • Keep abreast of relevant digital and social media trends and suggest improvements to existing content formats based on audience response, platform trends and performance.
  1. Project Ownership
  • Own assigned content projects from planning through production, editing and delivery.
  • Manage timelines and coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors and other team members where required.
  • Deliver work reliably to agreed deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain organised project files and content archives.
  • Support major campaigns and projects with additional creative or production requirements when needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience in content creation, videography or relatedfields. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio and demonstrated contentcreation experience may also be considered.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual storytelling and short-form content capabilities.
  • Able to conceptualise, shootand edit independently.
  • Strong news and visual sense toidentify compelling stories and angles.
  • Good understanding of social media platforms, formats and audience behaviour.
  • Resourceful and comfortable working across different types of content and projects.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative in projects.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change at short notice.
  • Willing to support events and content activities outside normal office hours when required.
