QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Maintenance Department of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron TWO ONE (HX-21) Presidential Helicopter Support Facility (PHSF) of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.
Major duties
- You will exercise management control and direction over planning, implementation, and execution of all HX-21 maintenance and quality assurance programs
- You will serve as the Contracting Officer’s representative for each CLS contract
- You will provide direct liaison with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), program sponsors, test team leadership, the Maintenance Officer, and the Commanding Officer
- You will assist the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) in the development of CLS statements of work (SOW)
- You will review Ground Operating Procedures (GOPs) for new CLS contracts supporting HX-21 aircraft maintenance and modification
- You will verify the quality of aircraft maintenance performed by the contractor
- You will investigate aircrew or Maintenance Officer complaints regarding aircraft maintenance
- You will analyze program audit and inspection data to identify and correct adverse trends
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9/10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in any combination of the following areas: Quality Assurance/Improvement, ISO-9000, and/or Safety and Environmental Compliance with minimum of five (5) years of dedicated experience in Aviation Quality Assurance/Improvement. 2) In-depth knowledge of quality management concepts, techniques, tools, and procedures. 3) Capable of reviewing others' work and determining accuracy and conformity to standards. 4) Working knowledge of military publications, drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. 5) Demonstrating knowledge of electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems applicable to fabrication, repair, and operational maintenance requirements.
