THIRD MARINE ENGINEER

Operate and monitor assigned engine room machinery. Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance. Assist in repairs, troubleshooting, and machinery overhauls. Monitor pumps, generators, compressors, boilers, purifiers, and other equipment. Perform assigned engine room watchkeeping duties. Record machinery readings and activities in the logbook. Report machinery problems, leaks, and unsafe conditions to the senior engineer. Assist the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in daily engine room operations. Follow safety procedures and participate in emergency drills. Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the engine room. Handle fuel, lubricants, and other engineering supplies safely. Follow pollution prevention procedures and MARPOL requirements. Complete maintenance records, checklists, and reports. Comply with company policies, vessel procedures, and applicable maritime regulations.
