Job Summary

Join Ministry of Crab as a Restaurant Captain to deliver outstanding service in a dynamic, upscale dining environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere
• Take and manage orders accurately, providing detailed menu and specials information to assist guest choices
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
• Oversee table settings and maintain a clean, organized dining area to uphold restaurant standards
• Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally to resolve issues promptly
• Support and guide waitstaff to maintain smooth, high-quality service throughout shifts
• Assist in training new waitstaff by sharing best practices and service standards
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to inform guests effectively
• Uphold Ministry of Crab’s high service standards in all guest interactions

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar role within fine dining or upscale restaurants
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple responsibilities
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
• Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Chinese to communicate with diverse guests; additional languages are a bonus
