Sales Application Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support and engineering consultancy to customers, dealers and internal sales teams.
• Develop technical proposals, preliminary layouts and engineering drawings based on customer and project requirements, including plot plans, P&I diagrams, single-line diagrams and wiring system diagrams.
• Review tender specifications and technical requirements and propose suitable engineering solutions.
• Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical specifications, proposals and project costing for customised generator system projects.
• Coordinate technical requirements and project activities with Sales, Engineering, QA, Procurement, Production and other relevant stakeholders.
• Manage project technical documentation and schedules from pre-sales through project execution.
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers on equipment specifications, component selection and system design.
• Review internal and external technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with customers, dealers, consultants, EPC companies and other external parties to clarify technical requirements and provide engineering solutions.
• Support the development of new applications, customers, dealers and business partnerships.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with company environmental practices.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in product design and/or engineering design.
• Knowledge of industrial engines and experience in the manufacturing industry would be advantageous.
• Good general mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• Experience in engineering design for products and systems.
• Good project management, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office for preparation of technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Proficiency in engineering/design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work within project deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willing and able to travel overseas when required.
