Secondary 3/4 Chemistry Tutor

Job Responsibilities Conduct engaging and structured Secondary 3/4 Chemistry lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus.

Explain Chemistry concepts clearly and guide students in applying concepts to structured, calculation and application-based questions.

Prepare students for WAs, EOY and GCE O-Level Chemistry, with emphasis on building strong foundations from Secondary 3.

Identify students’ learning gaps and provide targeted explanations, practices and corrections.

Prepare and use lesson materials, worksheets and revision resources to support students’ learning.

Mark assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback to help students improve.

Monitor students’ academic progress and maintain appropriate records of their performance.

Develop students’ confidence in Chemistry, scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Maintain a positive, disciplined and supportive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with the teaching team to maintain consistent teaching standards and quality.

Requirements Strong academic background in Chemistry.

Familiar with the Singapore Secondary 3 & 4 Chemistry syllabus and examination requirements.

Prior experience teaching or tutoring Secondary Chemistry is preferred.

Good command of spoken and written English.

Able to explain Chemistry concepts clearly and patiently.

Good classroom management and communication skills.

Responsible, punctual and committed to students’ learning progress.

Passionate about teaching and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.

Preferred Qualifications NIE-trained teacher or relevant teaching qualification.

A-Levels

Experience preparing students for Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level Chemistry.
