Tooling Technician

About the Role Join our precision manufacturing team as a Tooling Technician, where you will play a vital role in refining high-quality components for industrial applications. You will utilize your mechanical expertise to ensure tooling surfaces meet exact specifications, contributing directly to the efficiency and output of our modern CNC production environment.

Responsibilities Execute precise surface finishing on tooling components using manual tools like abrasive stones, files, and die grinders to achieve optimal contour conformity.

Operate micro drill presses to create ventilation features, ensuring all parts adhere to rigorous quality standards.

Verify component accuracy by utilizing precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers, to confirm parts meet design requirements.

Document project progress and time allocation within our digital work order tracking system to maintain operational transparency.

Collaborate with the production team to assemble and prepare finished tooling for shipment, ensuring seamless workflow transitions.

Proactively identify and escalate technical issues to maintain high standards of safety and operational excellence within the shop.

Qualifications Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven mechanical aptitude with a strong ability to follow complex technical instructions.

Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts, including Algebra and Geometry, to manufacturing tasks.

Demonstrated ability to interpret CAD drawings and technical sketches to execute project requirements.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in a tool, die, or mold repair environment.

Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software.

Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on effective team collaboration and conflict resolution.
