Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Research and Development Engineer role based in Singapore. The R&D Engineer will design, develop, and refine new products and technologies, working closely with cross-functional teams to translate technical concepts into viable solutions. Day-to-day tasks include working with Scientists and Product Development Engineers to conduct research, perform feasibility studies, create prototypes, and designing experiments to validate performance and reliability. The role involves planning and executing tests, analyzing data, documenting findings, recommending design improvements, and filing of patents. The engineer will also collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and product management to support product commercialization and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, solve complex problems, and optimize designs.
- Candidates should possess solid Research and Development (R&D) and Product Development skills to drive new solutions from concept to implementation.
- Candidates should possess Testing and Research skills to design experiments, validate performance, and ensure product reliability.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Materials, Chemistry, Physics, or related field) or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience in projects related to thermal management, especially related to batteries and data servers, will be a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and relevant simulation or modeling tools is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to document technical work clearly and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced R&D environment.
